About Max
Max Kilijanski, Music Teacher

Max Kilijanski is a Colombian multi-instrumentalist and music educator raised and based in Buffalo, NY. Max’s musical journey began with his first guitar at the age of six. His expertise spans various genres including Rock, Jazz, Latin, and Pop.
Max graduated from Berklee in 2020, majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production with a minor in Music and Society: Global Studies. This degree helped him learn how to write and produce music in any genre. He got to study with some of the world’s best music teachers and also spent a semester at Berklee’s campus in Valéncia, Spain.
In total, Max plays Guitar (21 years), Piano (17 years), Bass (12 years), Drums (6 years), Trumpet (18 years), Alto Sax (16 years), the EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) (17 years), as well as singing Vocals (14 years) and an instrument invented by one of his teachers at Berklee called the Guitcellin (6 years).
Max is currently accepting Guitar, Piano, Bass, Drum, and Voice Students.

He has played in multiple bands over the years with some fun names such as ‘Vegans Anonymous,’ ‘Our Modern Moloch,’ ‘Zoobookz’, ‘Department Orange’, and SALT and also writes and performs original music. His music has garnered over 250,000 plays on Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms.
Max’s love for teaching music began with his first students in 2013 and continues to develop. Sharing the passion and inspiration that he received from his teachers to students of all ages and skill levels is Max’s greatest joy.
Max also works at the School of Rock (North Buffalo) as their music director and teaches instruments, production, and is a summer camp counselor for them.
His other hobbies include skiing/snowboarding, photography/videography, and chess.
